4 pin xlr's are often used for dc power of pro broadcast gear.  Pin 1 is negative Pin 4 is positive (+12v) pins 2 and 3 NC.

Please excuse me, english isn't my native language, seeking for info about 4 pin xlr, want to know what NC abbreviation means? thank you
