"Special parallel cable" for flatbed scanner & Amiga?

Greetings all!...I was told one needs a "special parallel" cable to be used for a (parallel) color flatbed scanner and the "parallel" port of the Amiga computer, otherwise the Amiga will go Kaput. Any one have the schematic of such a "parallel cable"? I cannot find it anywhere....
