2 cables: what are they for...?
« on: April 19, 2006, 17:13:01 »
Hi,
I want to connect my Amiga 500 to my PC, to transfer files to the Amiga.
I now bought 2 cables, 1 (supposedly) null-modem cable, and 1 cable to connect the null-modem cable (25pins) to my PC's serial port (9pins).
Here are the layouts, I have the suspicion that the cables aren't what I was hoping for:

Null-modem (25pins - 25pins):
1 - 1
2 - 3
3 - 2
4+5 - 8
6 - 20
7 - 7
8 - 4+5
(the rest is not connected)

Null-modem to serial (25pins - 9pins):
1 - 3
2 - 2
3 - 7
4 - 8
5 - 6
6 - 5
7 - 1
20 - 4
22 - 9
(the rest is not connected)

Hope there is anyone who can tell me if I'm using the right cables, or which cables I need for this....
Thanks for any help!
