I am trying to figure away to make an adapter that converts a
MemoryStick slot to SecureDigatal (SD) card.

this definitely won't work, since mm-card uses a 4-bit bus and ms a serial bus. try using a cardreader, e.g. those cheap 9-in-1 devices.
