Hi, Not being an electronics whiz_kid and possibly a bit stupid, what is the diode and the 4E7 square in the pinout diagram at this link   http://pinouts.ru/data/panasonic_cable_pinout.shtml?  thanks  :D

The diode is any diode you could use a 1N4001 is just for polaroty inversion protection rge square is a 4.7 ohm resistor.

Sorry, After post I figured out I forgot to write the K before Ohm :-).

The square is a 4.7K resistor, and the diode could be a 1N4001 or any other low rated diode.
