Title: I Pod Connectors?
Post by: lpettyjohn on Jul 13, 2005, 10:45
Does anyone here know the part number or manufacturer or any information on the type of connectors used in the IPod docks or on the Ipod cables.  Seems as they are similar to the ones used on cell phones, but I have not been able to locate a supplier of these connectors.  Any help would be appriciated.  I need to do some minor repair to one of my docks and thought I could just replace the female or male connectors.
Thanks L :D

I think lpettyjohn meant the name of the male connector used in the iPod docks? I'd be interested in finding out the name of this connector. The pinout info on this site is priceless!

Apple use a connector from JAE.  Compatible connectors are available for sale at http://www.ridax.se
