Title: Viewsonic Viewpad 7" 10P USB pinout?
Post by: Jaylo on Sep 27, 2011, 19:57
I need to charge a Viewpad 7" from my car, using the 10 pin mini USB port.

If I charge using the original wall charger (10 pin), it charges very quick, but if I use a normal USB, it charges too slow.

Could I know the original charger 10P USB pinout?

Thanks!

Catch is in the current output of wall charger.

Normal USB port has 5V 500mA

This tablets charger has (copied from user manual):
DC output voltage: 5Vdc (typical)
DC output current: 2A (typical)

That's why wall charger is faster. You might accelerate charging in car with lighter adapter that has higher output current (check on sticker before buying).

And mini USB (http://pinouts.ru/connector/4_pin_USB_A__USB_B__mini-USB_jack_connector.shtml) has only 5 pins (http://pinouts.ru/Slots/USB_pinout.shtml), one of them is usually unused.
