Title: I need Help with pinout, ANY ELECengineer, or brainy,Please.

Hello,

Im trying to make the DC50 KODAK CAMERA SERIAL CABLE pinout.

Most of the diagram is understood except the "GND, shorted in cable"
comment, in the top 8 Pin/DB9 Pin layout ( NOT THE ALTERNATIVE PINOUT ).

My question is? What is the best way to attach wires 4,7,8 to 5 cleanly
without soldering them all to PIN 5.

Can they be grounded another way still using PIN 5?

Please review diagram, THANK YOU :)

Surprised

Just solder a short wire to each pin, join them with a 4th wire going to pin 5... OR is this too obvious and not the answer you wanted ??
