Hi all,

As the title says I'm looking to get help converting this G550 integrated cam to a USB webcam.

Right now I'm looking to get my hands on the Pinout for the webcam.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have Images of the exact camera but maybe being a new user I cant attach to posts?

Well it is true that many Integrated webcam's are USB, you should first delete your host USB devices in Device Manager, one-at-a-time and see if the camera disappears.  If it does then it is usb.  You will then need to locate the 4 wires that go from the Camer's controller to the MB.  First, by following the traces figure out what it GND and what is 5VDC (or use a multimeter).   The other two will be Data+ and Data-,   for those just wire them up one way, and if it doesn't work swap them. Incorrectly wiring Data+/-  should not cause any harm (it just will not work).  Wiring Power backwards Can, so you do need to follow/test those.

If you webcam isn't already USB-internally-connected then is likely not worth you creating your own controller from scratch.
