Title: JVC 8 pin pinout needed
Post by: flyinbrian123 on Apr 03, 2008, 09:33
JVC uses an 8 pin mini din as a proprietary connector ( 8 ft, both ends male) to join the home theater system receiver to the subwoofer where it splits to the speaker terminals. Calls and disassembly of the sub have left me unsatisfied, and I haven't the skills to map it with a meter. I would appreciate a pinout of this cable so that I may purchase custom break out cables and an "A"-"B" speaker switch.

The CD changer in my JVC TH-M55 isn't working (my daughter jammed a CD into the case without opening it) and so I'm looking to use the subwoofer and speakers with another receiver.  Sounds like you're trying to do the same thing...?  Any luck in finding a connector converter for JVC's proprietary 8 pin mini din?
