Title: DVI Cable
Post by: pkav on Aug 15, 2011, 23:22
Hello Forum, I need some help.

I have a 22inch monitor in a reception of a building. I only want the monitor to come on when the fire alarm system goes into alarm.

Can anyone tell me what pins I need to break / enable to make this happen?

Or does anyone have any source script to do this using VB C#?

Thanks for any help

Kav

The monitor should go into sleep mode when there's no video signal. Have your alarm system turn on its video output when the alarm goes off and the monitor will wake up.

LCD monitors wake up much faster than CRT monitors.
