IBM PS/1 TYPE 2121 FDD

Was looking at your FDD pin outs.

I have an IBM PS/1 TYPE 2121 FDD which has no separate power lead going into the drive. The drive is powered from the data cable which has pin 1  cut.

Have you any idea how it works?
