Trying to connect different camcorders and a/v equipment can become confusing when different manufacturers produce identical cables with different pinout connections.

Some Panasonic camcorders (at least an HC-V720, around 5 years old, and an HDC-SD9, around 10 years old) have TRRS A/V outputs (the "Sony" pin-out), where the second ring from the end (pin 3) is ground, not pin 2.
