2012-05-16 22:28:56 | rev. 7 | ERROR FIXED | Pins 2 and 6 do not connect (reserved or not connected) according to IBM back in 1987. Pins 3 & 4 are correct. Pins 1 and 5 are the only ones that need to be switched around to make the mouse get detected. Pin 1 connects to Pin 1, Pin 3 connects to Pin 3, Pin 4 connects to Pin 5, and Pin 5 connects to Pin 7. 1/2 of the wires are correct (Pins 3-4), but the others do not connect. Has a valid explanation of connecting the PS/2 mouse to a serial port on a computer, but there were errors on here regarding the wiring between the PS/2 male (the mouse connection) and the RS232 D-Sub 9 female connector (PC). | APPROVED |
