2012-01-05 01:51:46 | rev. 7 | ERROR FIXED | I think that the original pinout assignments in this article were correct for some LG phones- i.e. 1234 TRRS Mic R L GND respectively. The previously submitted "correction" applies to certain LG phones. Basically, there are two LG pinouts, one that matches that of the iPhone, and one that doesn't. This page should reflect the one that doesn't match the iPhone i.e. with the Mic assigned to the tip, Pin 1. | APPROVED |

2020-05-13 20:32:55 | rev. 8 | ERROR FIXED | Pin 4 is correct, Pins 1 & 2 are Audio, Pin 3 is Mic This is 99% of all phones that support the standard. The reason Pin 1 is NOT the mic is because you would no be able to plug in a 3 pin stereo connector (that is, headphone only plugs would not work -but they do). I've confirmed this with my LG-M257 Harmony. | APPROVED |
