ERROR FIXED | Hi, thanks a lot for this set of useful pages. Regarding the WTX pinout, it sounds contradictory that the pinout is completely uncompatible with ATX (eg. pin 3 being COM in ATX but +3.3v in WTX) but at the top you say that its backwars compatible and even that some WTX servers comes with ATX power supplies. I frankly cant understand how that can be possible. Best regards, Matu | APPROVED | ||
2010-12-22 17:49:09 | rev. 2 | ERROR FIXED | i'm not really sure if it is really incorrect but it seems that there is a totally different power connector pinout called WTX around. currently i try to get a ibm intellistation to work, based on a i860 based motherboard. MSI, the manufacturer of the mainboard sais that it uses a WTX power supply but your pinout never works together with my motherboard. i found a totally different pinout on a other site (including also ATX-GES), this one seems to fit my motherboard (anything based on measurements) here is the, for my purpose, correct pinout: http://flylib.com/books/en/4.55.1.48/1/ thanks for your very helpful site! | APPROVED |
